This past Thanksgiving, Kissimmee Bay Country Club and Remington Golf Club teamed up with more than 300 local golfers in the Kissimmee/St. Cloud area to support these communities and the region. One pound of turkey was donated to the Osceola Council on Aging for each golfer that played on "Golf for Turkey Day," adding up to more than 300 pounds of turkey to help feed folks right here in the community. The Council on Aging serves as a food bank for Osceola County and serves and delivers Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner to seniors and less fortunate residents of Osceola County. “This was enough turkey to meet the ever increasing demand this holiday season!,” said Cathy Arft, head of the Council on Aging’s kitchen staff. “The Council fed more than 1,000 people this Thanksgiving thanks to the help of local golfers,” said Janice Casler from the Council.
Kissimmee Bay Country Club and Remington Golf Club have been hosting and supporting charity events and golf tournaments for 25 years in the St. Cloud/Kissimmee area. Helping to raise more than $3 million for Osceola County Charities since 1989, we specialize in start-to-finish event coordination.
